…Learn their names Saturdays: Jan 16 – Feb 20 Elementary Cohort (4th-6th Grades)10-11A Middle School Cohort (7th-9th Grades)11:30-12:30P They Walked With King will examine the lives of those who worked closely with Dr. King to make his visions for equality a reality, while practicing nonviolence. The focus of this seminar will be on speeches of each figure. Participants will develop an analytical paragraph that they will ultimately share with the group. Students will work with mentors to sharpen both their writing and speaking skills in the tradition of Dr. King and his colleagues in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).
